Does anyone have any tips on keeping a clean and smooth backdrop? Our studio uses a grey and black paper which when lit from an angle shop up a lot of ripples. Even on parts which have never been near the ground. Find myself having to blow them out or correct in PS.

Any advice welcome, first post
Thanks

Iron and a tea towel helps to even it out, just turn the steam off! Other than that, I would try adjusting your DOF to blow out the creases in the background if possible :)

For a black background, just make sure no light hits the backdrop and enough light hits your subject to turn the background black.
