I got that some years ago and and pretty much just based my work around it. That's after the crash and burn story with Zenfolio. They made me move, actually run....
I am now getting pretty sick of this too. It is not maintained to any reasonable standard. It is now crashing WP itself. Support is pretty lousy, maybe will do just the bare minimum. No updates, no new features, the thing is firmly stuck in 2010. No avif, no crop marks. NOTHING. Worst of all it is a monster with long loading times. And why would they bother if they are now pushing Enviragallery plugin. Probably another total POS.
I don't particularly want to spend lots of time redoing everything, sales are slow anyway after AI. I don't particularly fancy spending more £££ on another potentially crappy plugin. Do I try and base something around Woocommerce in the autumn?
Or do I just gut the nextgen plugin, strip their nasty call home code and other useless functions, maybe try to add some other useful code. With AI at hand this should be more accessible than ever. The whole thing is GPL v3 so would be totally a fair game, might even drop it on github for a good measure. LOL.
