Onto a reasonably soft surface, there's a good chance of a cat doing itself no harm, even from 5 storeys. Onto a hard surface, even a first floor fall can cause them to break their lower jaw.

Hopefully the grass saved that one's jaw.
 
We had a cat that regularly went out of a first floor bedroom window and ran about fifteen feet down the wall to a stone path, :wideyed:

Pretty sure there's a QI stat about cats falling from height. IIRC short falls are the most dangerous for them as it takes them a while to rotate so they can land properly.

Obviously no rotation here as it's a deliberate jump.

ETA: I was completely wrong. This cat was actually lucky because the 5th floor is pretty dangerous for them. It should have gone *up* a couple of floors.....
