So then would my Would my Sigma 70-300 APO DG MACRO f4-5.6 work with a 1.4x or 2x TC?

IT is much cheaper than buying a bigger lens :) Plus it will keep me going until I get the 100-400 L lens

Thanks
Matt

Unlikely, the Canon AF system will shut off after f/5.6. A Kenko TC might still AF.

IQ will not be good.

It won't work or if it does you'll hate it, use it once and never use it again.

If you want a stop gap get a Sigma 100-300 f4 EX. FL is about right for most circuits and its a stop faster than the Canon.

No it will not. I have the same camera and lens, and tried the lens with it. No af, but also in manual focus, you do not even get the little green light to help you focus.

Matt I have Kenko x2 con, my advice save up for a longer lens, their useless, no af on my 70-300mm, so manual focus only, by time youve focused youll have missed your shot,IQ is not that good in my opinion
