World Wide Photography Competition

Vision 09 is a world wide photography competition for young people between 16 - 25 years old.

Shortlisted entries will be displayed at the gallery space at Hind Leys in January and February 2010 and on the Charnwood Arts Pixel and Grain website. Winners will receive a cash prize.


The three categories are:

Urban - to be interpreted as you choose. First prize £250.

Portraits - we are particularly looking for images which stir or portray emotions. First Prize £250.

Photo-Poetry - a single image combining the two art forms. It can be a straight photograph or a constructed photographic image. In this category the work may be a combined effort of two young artists and the prize money shared. First prize £500.


The closing date for entries is September 25th 2009.

Looks interesting! And it's very nice to see some reasonable terms and conditions too:

Copyright remains exclusively with the authors but, by entering this competition, you agree to allow your work as a shortlisted entry to be: a) shown at the Vision '09 exhibition in January / February 2010 b) be included in the winning entries on the Pixel and Grain website c) be showcased in any publications created by us to document the exhibition.

I think there are rules about advertising competitions on here, maybe it would have been better to get in touch with the moderators of the forum first? Not sure on that one though!
