World maps yo

You lot seem pretty good at finding really random stuff.

I'm after an accurate political world map, roughly 20-30" in length, preferably printed on a full matt medium. Not so hard, right?

I also want it weighted on the top and bottom. I guess I could get this done myself but I've simply no idea where. I don't really mind whether it's weighted with wood or plastic. If the top has a hanging string this is a bonus but it doesn't really matter as I can definitely add that myself.

I can't find one. Can you?
 
as in different colours for different countries.
And I mean accurate geographically by scale - as opposed to skewed to the UK or otherwise.

Care to have a go at defining what you mean by that?

This excellent Wikipedia article illustrates what a complicated issue this is. Here's a brief quote from the article:
Many properties can be measured on the earth's surface independently of its geography. Some of these properties are:

* Shape
* Direction
* Bearing
* Distance
* Scale

Map projections can be constructed to preserve one or some of these properties, though not all of them simultaneously. Each projection preserves or compromises or approximates basic metric properties in different ways. The purpose of the map, then, determines which projection should form the base for the map. Since many purposes exist for maps, so do many projections exist upon which to construct them.
