Working on a tiff file in Photoshop cs2

Hi all,
I have been working on a raw cs2 file which I converted to tiff file. When I next came to open the file I could not open it in PS because it was now classed as a "File" file not tiff or even raw file. How could I have saved it ? and is it possible to change it back some how.

Might be worth making a copy of the file and renaming it file.tiff and trying to open it. Make sure that you have a copy of the file rather than working on the original. Failing that, I'm afraid it's back to the original cs2 file and redoing the conversion and processing.

What is a CS2 'raw' file? What produces it?

How did you convert it to tif? Using what?
