Hi All,

I've been trying to get a plugin to automatically add my watermark to my website images and found a few options, but currently the best has been a "Scissors and Watermarking" plugin, which allows use of .png files and allows some degree of positioning. However, I can only get this to work on new images I have uploaded since installing the plugin and although it seems to have functionality to retrospectively add watermarks to old images, I can't get this to work.

Does anyone use this plugin successfully? Or,
Can anyone suggest a better plugin?

Thanks,

Dan

I'm afraid this probably isn't helpful, but I watermark as part of the resize for the website. 1 action to resize add watermark sharpen for web and export (using a custom set of save for web choices).

I have a folder set up that the action drops them in. So I just open a folder in bridge, select all, run the action (called blog these) and get on with surfing TP. when the actions finished all I have to do is upload the files and fill in the alt tags.

Apologies mods.

Thanks Phil - I had thought about this, but the plugin version works for my images going forward, it's just the ones I've already uploaded before installing the plugin I still need to add to. So both the plugin and your option mean I have to upload everything again - and I'm not doing that!

Do it on image export to the site. LR (for example) can do this for you. Your image editing program probably has an option to watermark before you upload...

Thanks Andy, but see previous comments. Phil suggested this and whilst this will obviously work, it would mean I have to re-upload all my images which I don't want to do. I'm basically looking for a Wordpress plugin that anybody has had success with or a solution to making my current plugin work. To be honest I think I know that there's no simple fix here so I'll have to post on the plugin developers pages.

I'm in the same boat but sadly i don't think there is one around:thumbsdown:

The fact that the plugin only works on new images sounds like it is designed to be hooked into the upload process. If that is the case (and I haven't looked) you won't get it to work the way you want it.

Have you looked at bulk watermark: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bulk-watermark/

Seems to do exactly what you want to do from the description....

This plugin allows you to watermark your previously uploaded images using a PNG image file with transparency as well as text signature.
