Next week I have 2 of my wife's friends coming round to shoot some boudoiry type stuff. I have my spare room set up nicely for it, but we have woodchip wallpaper and it kills any image I've ever taken at home. I'd love to hear people's opinions on methods of nuking woodchip in PP.

Any help much appreciated! :help:

we had loads and it was stuck so well nowt shifted it, not even a hired steamer, except when we scraped the plaster off accidently. We just used a product called smooth over by polycell and covered it up...was quite easy, sanded down then lined with a good quality paper.

I'd love to get rid of it, but I live in Army families housing, if I get rid of it, I have to put it back when I leave :cuckoo: I meant more a method of getting rid of it in photoshop. I'm using CS3.

oh...thought you could do home improvements? not been an army brat for a while now so things have probably changed.

It's insane. If I redecorate, even in the standard magnolia, I still have to leave the house with woodchip wallpaper in. It's annoying, I've got a nice airy set up in here now, but the woodchip destroys it. I don't want to have to limit myself to close ups :bang:

Get a different background? A white sheet?

I had thought about that, but it's two walls, with a bed betweens them. The rear wall has been taken care of thanks to the matching curtains from the bedding set help up with small eye type screws. It's just the side walls. I think the sheet could stick out a bit too much, it'd be obvious.

perhaps some black or red voile to cover it up, since your doing boudour style, should help the style more than distract possibly?

That's not a bad plan Fletch. I'm going to fire off some shots I think, then have a play in PS. With clever lighting I might be able to minimize the effect of the 'chip anyway.

Buy 3 8x4 sheets of hardboard, wallpaper them in a boudoir paper and bobs you uncle.

Now you have a mobile background. Cover both sides in different paper and you have two backgrounds.

It works if you get the paper lined up.

Alternativly try freecycle you can request items that people no longer want and are heading for the tip. It's a little hit and miss but it never ceases to amaze me whats on offer, someone got a caravan for free last week :) Should be able to find some props, costumes or a screen of some sort.

Good Luck

Maybe I should just hire a studio
