Yes
Its very sad but at the age of 33 I have just solo developed my first two films without my father, with whom I usually work with for these things! Feeling quite chuffed. I will show the results tomorrow...

Lovely!

And congrats! I picked up a load of BW film at the weekend. Looking forward to the next souping session!

I still havent dev'd anything at home yet. Really not looking forward to it,lol. I think I'm gonna sacrifice a roll of film to get used to loading the reel :(

I cocked up loading both reels I loaded a number of times last night, had to crack the reels a number of time. The negs have not suffered at all. The main problem is that I didn't have any wetting agent and there are some water marks on some of the negs. Just give it a go, its not as bad as you think!

Bang some shots through a roll so that you have something to look at if the the loading goes well. Then just remember - it's only a roll of film - if it goes wrong it goes wrong, no biggie. Makes it much less stressful first time!

I've watched a few videos on 120 developing, the thing that looks tricky is the backing paper and the adhesive strip at the end...I'm probably just being a pansy lol

And well done by the way ;) lol. Glad you're enjoying the Leica

It's more difficult to describe or watch than it is to do - honestly. Just unroll the paper, eventually the film comes out as well - keep pulling and the film just rolls up separately. When you come to the sticky tape bit it stops, you slide your fingers along and hold the tape, and tear the paper away - the sticky tape is the weakest part, and it just breaks away. Then you've a loose roll of film, ready to get into the spool.

And i'd probably say you were being a bit of a Jessie about it ;)

Pics then!

All form the Leica and voigtlander 50mm f1.5. I am back in love with film photography again with this pairing.

Sweet !

I just wanna say, even though I wrote but never posted my rear naked choke grip on he who shall remain nameless last night, Shoreham Beach huts have my full support...:)

Thanks mate. I am always up for crit and happily accept it. Some unnamed people just seem to post to get a rise.
