I've heard it all now. It involves The York Dungeon where visitors can sit in a mock 18th century carriage, in the dark and,I think, have 'Dick Turpin' relate some of his horror stories, no doubt in the parlance of the day. He was hung in York in 1739. Obviously, not for the faint-hearted. If anyone knows about this carriage ride maybe you could expand on that if there's more to it. It seems that 'some' parents have complained about Mr Turpin's first name. It is, infact,Richard but has been Dick down the ages. Fortunately, the management at The York Dungeons are standing firm and Dick it will remain. Give in to 'Dick' Turpin and who knows where it will go.
Can anyone add to any to these.
Moby Richard....Richard Whittington..He thinks he's a 'Clever Richard'.. Tom,Richard and Harry. Anyone with a heart problem would have to refer to it as a Richardy heart. Referring to a stupid person it would be a Richardhead.
