Within about 1 hr of Stevenage

Hi All, Next weekend I will find myself in Stevenage for my sins, I will have a spare day on Friday 5th July, looking for somewhere to go shoot, but not London as I will be there on Saturday. I'm looking for somewhere within about 1hr of Stevenage, either West, East or South'ish. Not really in to military stuff, preferably architecture, landscapes or seascapes. I've previously visited St Albans, so preferably somewhere else.

I badly need some inspiration so the day is not wasted, as it is a 3 1/2hr drive from where I live.
