Around a month ago I bought a cactus v2 set from ebay with an additional receiver for my D40x, sb-600 and sb-27. Unfortunatley the additional receiver didnt work and after sending it back to HK the replacement which arrived was also duff.
A friend has offered to buy the working units from me for the same as I paid so I'm now at the point where I could potentially start again and am considering possibly upgrading.
My budget is still fairly small so Pocket wizards and new skyports are out, but I was wondering if skyports ever turn up second hand, what I could expect to pay, or if there are other options between them and the cactus's?
cheers.

I've seen skyports on ebay, they go for near new prices.

I've got some on others recommendations, and they are good. Worth saving for imho.

cheers. will keep an eye open then.
if anyone is thinking of upgrading to pocket wizards let me know :)

Don't think so. Those first ones are slower, only 4 channel. Look like a variant of the PT-04

Alternatively, in the short run, anyone know if these are the ripped off version of these?

The V4 Cactus Triggers aren't available yet, i think start of march, so soon. They should be worth waiting for as they have been listening to their users and have made some good tweaks to the new units. If you don't want Cactus Triggers, you could try and get Cybersyncs from the States, there are a few issues around the transmitting channel in the UK, but they should be okay as they are on a localised signal system.
