Wireless printing - help with set up PLEASE

rearranging the office and bought a wireless printer. Can't get it to talk to the iMac over wireless. OK on usb. Tried using the telephone broadband router and also Airport. Wifi signal showing on printer with router, not with iMac. Printer is Epson. Any help out there before I **** it in the bin???
