hi got a YN465 and a Yn460 mk2 on e-bay.Both work on camera but not of.Would i be better using wireless triggers or a cable to trigger them?

thanks in advance

Wireless like the 602 triggers flash in the pan sells seem very good, I borrowed a set the other day before buying my own, they work as a flash trigger, work as a wireless shutter release and can also syncronise 2 cameras using the remote on a hotshoe and the receiver connected to the remote shutter release on a 2nd camera meaning that pressing the shutter on 1 camera releases the sutter on a 2nd camera. quite a cool feature I thought and convinced me that I will buy a set of them.

Wireless just makes things a whole lot more flexiable, I have a OC3 cord and its great but just limits the distance the flash can be from the camera and there is the risk of pulling the flash stand over.

You should be able to get some off-camera action using the built-in optical slaves, though it's not ideal. For example, if you put the 465 on camera it should trigger the 460Mk2 in S2 mode.

RF-602 triggers would seem like the way to go though
