Has anyone else bought the Wireless Flash DVD by Oz Kharawala?

I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that thinks £21.50 for this DVD is a bit of a rip off... :(

I got this in the post today, and got home at about 6:30, and eagerly shoved the DVD in. Only I've finished watching it already and I've learnt pretty much nothing :shrug:

On the site it is billed as "The 'must-have' DVD tutorial for anyone wishing to expand into wireless flash photography."

The 'tutorial' aspect of the DVD seems nothing more than a Nikon flash promo. Each of them just gives a list of the kit used, then shows Oz putting the flashes on a stand or two and then a dubbed voice remarking how "easy it is to get these great results" and showing you the final output.

There's not really anything on actually using the system, apart from put them on stands, and set them to TTL...

Has anyone else bought this? I'm wondering if I was expecting too much.

Now I know the photographer is very talented ( far far more than myself ) but I don't feel like he's taut me anything. :'(

just for interest "taut" is when something is strung out and really stressed

"taught" is the action of learning

I think he may have actually "taut" you !

hmmm, any more menu options?
 
lol thanks for the spelling lesson, at least I've been taught something out of buying this DVD...

If there are more options they're very well hidden. Was just seeing if anyone else had bought it before I write my letter to complain.

I bought it about a year ago and felt just the same as you - very interesting but i learnt very little. Just as a side issue this guy lives in the same town as me and I believe he does training for Nikon.

Anyone want to buy 2 copies of "Wireless Flash - Oz Kharawala"? :lol:
 
Thanks for these comments, as I was about to buy it. Not gonna bother now. Anybody know of any resource which does what we thought this was meant to do?
 
Well I have 2 copies, might ebay them if they never get back to me about getting a refund...
