I sometimes see what I think will make a nice photo, but there will be power lines or similar running through the picture.

Do you worry about that, just ignore or even remove during processing?

If the latter and you use DxO, how?!

I would clone them out - I don't use DXO. If DXO has a dust removal tool then you could try that.
 
Only just seen your query re 'lines'.

Personally I tend to clone them out in Photoshop using remove tool 'J' which does a really good job 99% of the time. If the line goes across a building, then clone stamp 'S' will give you the option to replace any 'missing' pieces with something nearby (I know that sounds odd, but most will know what I mean!).

Nice atmospheric shot in your post, by the way!
 
I freely edit my images; to include cloning (and even "worse").
I'm not a journalist documenting news; I'm "creating art" (that's subjective, of course).
If I'm taking a landscape shot and there's a crisp* bag on the floor I'll happily go and remove it...if it's up a tree and I can't reach it I'll happily clone it out...don't see the difference. :woot:
