Windows Vista Home Premium - anyone got a disc ?

Hi

Total long shot, following on from my other thread, I'm wanting to do a complete fresh install on our laptop, it's running Vista Home Premium.

I have created a rescue disc, but was hoping someone might have a Vista disc I can borrow (have the Vista SN on bottom of laptop) as I'd like to do fresh install, removing the hidden patrician and not installing all the other software that Sony have dumped on there.

I appreciate this is probably a long shot, but if you don't ask ....

I don't know if what you're proposing will actually work.

The activation code is usually embedded with the disc and trying to use another one will simply cause a fail.

Also if the Vista was an OEM the ROM in your laptop may also need a special code on the recovery disc you get with the machine to allow the disc to actually run.

Often the only way to put a new OS on the machine is to install an upgrade.

What I'm sending is an unused Vista disk with its key; hasn't been used before so should install and activate fine.
