Windows preview of RAW files

Hi guys, I have CS3 and Lightroom, and have the plugin for RAW files in CS3. However when browsing through windows to the folder where my RAW files are stored it only shows me a PS icons, no preview available.

Is there a way round this or do I have to use Lightroom to select my images for editing?
 
there is a windows raw viewer you can downlaod from microsoft its free:) but its qutie old now and doesn't support all raw formats.
 
I found that this works very well.
