Am having really problems displaying photos in order of the date taken.

I like doing photo books - so I generally sort by older name - which should be the date - but everything is all over the place, if I sort by months everything in the wrong month.

I think things are going in day they were imported/created rather than the date they were shot.

Anyone got any ideas what's going on?

06 02 11 / 03 05 11 / 03 15 11 / 03 14 11 / 03 09 11 / 03 17 11 / 03 20 11 / 03 19 11 / 03 21 11 / 04 08 11 / 04 10 11 / 04 09 11 / 04 25 11 then it heads to 10 then back to 11 then 12, these are in folder order

if I sort them month, it puts them in the wrong month, the Jan 12 folder is empty, and it shouldnt be, if nothing else there are loads in the iphone folder, the Feb 12 folder has the December 11 pictures in it.

Its very frustrating.

I know it is probably something really stupid and basic I am doing, but it is a nightmare.

I've never really used it much but just opened mine, I have photos from 2017!

If you make a copy of any photo, the date is when it was created, not the date the original was created.

Have you got Lightroom?

+1 for Lightroom, you can move the photos to whatever order you want them displayed.
