Has anyone had issues with windows 7 and google earth. I have had the same issues with my pc on and off for a few months now,. All is working fine then suddendly screen freezes, i make a restart, it then goes into boot mode, freezing onto boot up failed insert dvd and press enter. For the past few weeks its been running fine, the only thing that has changed is the upload of google earth which I done last night.
Anyone got any ideas please...
 
Just had a google search the issue and it seems to have been a common problem, its just wierd that the problem seems to start after loading google earth.

if its asking for a dvd at boot it sounds like your HD might be playing up (i.e. it cannot detect the drive)

After reading your message Neil, I thought i would investigate this issue myself, and you were right, well almost anyway, When checking the inside workings I found that the pin plug to the hard drive had some how worked loose, or it may not have been fitted correctly in the first place. anyway a gentle push, switched the pc on and all is running fine.. Thanks.
