Windows 11 Photos auto enhance

Did anyone ever find a way to turn off auto-enhance in Windows 11 Photos? I stopped using it because of this 'feature' but my wife wants to use it as it has an extremely simple import procedure: Put card in, start Photos, tap IMPORT, eject card, done.

Looks like it involves a registry key amendment.

From Microsoft:

You can try the following steps:

1. Open PowerShell as an administrator.
2. Enter the following command in the app: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$ ($_.InstallLocation)\\AppXManifest.xml”}
3. Press Enter to run the command.
4. Restart your PC to apply the changes.
5. The auto-enhance feature is now disabled on your device.
