Hi and help!!!
Is there any way to stop Windows 10 slideshow showing raws?
My previous version of Windows just skipped the raws and only displayed JPEG's and TIFF's but my newly installed Windows 10 shows the JPEG and follows it with the unprocessed raw file or rather I assume the embedded JPEG. So, when I run the slideshow I see the finished processed JPEG followed by an unprocessed version, most annoying.
Also, for some of my cameras Windows 10 displays the JPEG thumbnail and the RAW thumbnail (embedded JPEG I assume) next to each other in the folder rather than a JPEG thumbnail and a generic raw icon so I see two thumbnail versions of each shot, one the finished file and the other the unprocessed raw. Is there any way that I can just have the JPEG thumbnail image displayed and a generic raw icon?
I've looked but at the mo I can't see any way to do what I want so any help will be appreciated.
One way around this would be to convert all raws to DNG as Windows 10 doesn't display the thumbnail for DNG files and instead just shows a DNG icon and thankfully the DNG's aren't shown when running the slideshow.
