Windows 10 Pro OEM £20

Is this a full version?
I'm on my phone with limited access so struggling to find out.
Thanks for the heads up BTW!

8keys who are they?

They only seem to have been going for just over two years.

Their website has nothing on it, no real information and no products

I know you mean well Neil but I would give this one a wide birth

They might well just be selling an OEM key. If they are you can get them off ebay for about £5 or less.

From the actual website itself for the Windows 10 Pro OEM it declares this -

You purchase a product key for Windows 10 Professional. We point out that you only purchase the product key and no license.
You will not receive a COA sticker and no DVD, but only a 25-digit code by mail.

Excuse my ignorance, but does all this mean that I should steer clear?
As one who doesn't know enough about this sort of thing can one of you wise people spell it out for me please..?
It sort of sounds too good to be true but Neil is usually so knowledgeable that it's tempting..

I don't think that there is any problem with getting it (if you really need Pro) you download the software and the OEM key allows you to activate & use it ... if it wasn't/isn't kosher then I beleive you would have recourse through Groupon. As above though the same thing appears to be available on eBay from under £4.

These are basically corporate/MSDN type keys and they are not supposed to be sold on in this fashion, but Groupon is happy to get its 50% cut from any product it can whether the end user can supply or not. The code will activate your installation of Windows but it is not used under correct license. If the keys assigned to the sellers account are withdrawn due to misuse then you can be asked to re-activate again with a valid key. 8keys is another throwaway company name (no products on website/groupon only email) that looks like it will keep on taking money while keys still validate, then shut their doors as soon as trouble starts.

I doubt I need pro, but it sounds like its potentially a bit risky.
I'm about to build a new computer and may just bite the bullet and buy a 'proper' version.

I'm assuming that I won't be able to reinstall my W7 on a new pc..?

Thanks for the replies.

source? i dont believe you can get W10 OEM keys from MSDN, or at least you couldn't. from memory they were all retail and limited numbers/activations were available.

or their prices are low because they're bulk bought W10 licences and they're not shipping anything.

as said, you'd have recourse through groupon if anything went sideways. pay by paypal too, for more protection. at least its being sold in a legitimate retail platform, the ones on ebay are likely 99.9% fake (like the majority of software on ebay and the number of scammers on there).

OEM keys can be found cheap and have been for a long time..

I got my last one off Amazon for a few quid. Works fine, windows updates still download and install.

I also got a w10 Pro 64 bit from ebay, they said they are from PC`s that have been scrapped and the Disc`s are sold with a MOBO althou no MOBO was ever received, all works 100% and all updates are ok too.
Go for it i`d say for the measly 10-20 GBP

Oldish thread I know but I purchased 2 of these keys from 8keys via Groupon in February but only just got round to using them on a new installation. Neither key is a valid W10 key. I have emailed 8keys for legit keys or refund and also contacted Groupon. Wait and see what happens

You can reinstall Win7 and also Win10 making it a dual boot PC.
I do this as I use an older version of Cubase that doesn't run under Win10.
I've installed Win7 on one SSD and Win10 on another and EasyBCD works flawlessly.
Use this to configure the boot order with dual boot: http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/

If they were fake ebay would more than likely ban the sellers which is what has happened to a few sellers on there.

I've bought several Win7 and Win10 keys for myself and for other people and the keys were genuine.
Anyone with half a brain cell would realise they wouldn't last long selling fake keys.
Yes there are fake goods on ebay but there are plenty selling legit software.
How do you mean by saying 'fake software'?
Pirated software is not fake, it's the real thing that has been cracked and is sold illegally so when it comes to software that is expensive, if it's dirt cheap on ebay then it's more than likely pirated software but that's somewhat different to an OEM license key for an operating system.
Some retailers have sold OEM editions of Windows for more years than I care to remember and the only stipulation is that hardware must be purchased at the same time however, quite a few will sell OEM software directly to an end user without buying any hardware.

I actually got my Windows 10 Pro key for about £13 from Digitlogs. com they’re a Microsoft authorized partner, and I’ve always bought my keys there. Never had a single activation issue.

Microsoft really aren't interested in making money selling Windows they just want people using it.
I've been using this for years now,

in fairness, there's quite a big difference in purchasing a windows 10 licence NOW, after it's basically to all intents and purposes disavowed by MS, and the situation 8 years ago...

as to discussions regarding "activation" by various methods, I'll just say this - Staff and Admin are currently discussing and actively monitoring this thread, and there's an explicit line in the Terms and Rules you all agreed to when you signed up here banning discussions of Piracy - so - you may well choose not to contribute, if you think that you could possibly be crossing a line...

just a friendly hint :)
