Win7 & Mac OS linked to motherboard?

Am I right in thinking win7 & Mac OS are dependant on the motherboard?
I've got the same motherboard on my Pc and mac, if I swapped everything else(including the processor) except the motherboard and hard drives would it effect the licensing of either OS?
 
Depends if it's OEM or retail for Windows IIRC

My product ID (on PC) has OEM in the product key so I'm assuming it's OEM, although I got the win7 install disc when I purchased the PC.

In the actual key digits? That might be a fluke, does it actually say oem on the key sticker?

It is OEM I reckon-the product ID (from control panel-system/security-system), the product ID series of digits includes OEM, although the CD key doesn't, but when I look at the Win 7 CD case the sticker states it's OEM Software.
 
Job sorted, crossed my fingers and went for it.
swapped out processor, memory, case, PSU, graphic card, monitor,leaving only the motherboards and SSD in place.
So my main machine (mac) has i7 processor with 12GB memory, GTX 560Ti card, 128GB SSD, 30 inch monitor, and my PC with i5 processor and 8GB memory, Geforce 9500 GT card, 160GB SSD, 24 inch monitor.

Good half day job, everything went smoothly, with only a few tweaks to the graphics settings needed . Importantly, my product key was OK with Win 7 remaining activated.
