The free gift at the moment for subscribing to Practical Photography magazine is a wireless flash trigger/reciever.

it is the FalconEyes RF-425DHS-C

I have a Nikon D40 and a Nissin Di622 flashgun. I was just wondering if it will be compatible.

I have no reason to doubt that it would be, but then i don't really know an aweful lot about them.

Help! :thinking::thinking:

Linky

I have a feeling that the C in title means that it's for a Canon, but the pic in the mag is for "illustration only" and the literature says that it will work with almost all flashes and all cameras.

it'll work with the camera, not 100% about the nissin as one of them dislikes radio slaves but I can't remember which

yeah I had a Nissin Di622, and research showed it doesn't like radio slave because the way the pins are on the bottom, I ended up selling it and getting a SB-600

I DO know you can get Cables to allow off camera flash with the NIssin, but obviously not as flexible as radio

Sorry

you could also just get one off ebay for about 15 squids

Yeah, :thinking: problem is that it's rather difficult to find a remote trigger that works with both the D40 and the Nissin Flashgun.

There is a firmware update available from Nissin that will allow the Di622 to work with radio triggers,but you need to send the flashgun to them to have the update done

:( and to Japan more than likely. do you know if they charge for that?

I sent an email to Kenro asking if they knew where i could get the firmware updated and they told me if i sent it to them they'd update it FOC and send it back! :) bonus! :clap:
does this mean that it'll work with all flash triggers (inc the PT-04)?
