Will this autofocus with the D40

Sorry if this has been done to death already or already been covered in the other D4o thread but will this autofocus with the D40 ?

Do you really need autofocus ? AF-S lenses for the D40 are quite expensive and may not be necessary. If you are doing sports photography it is just as easy to focus on the area where you want to get your capture and wait till the action takes place. If you are a beginner it would be good practice to manual focus

I'll be honest, i dont know whether i do or not.

Next year i want to have a mess around with action shots i.e motorsport and aircraft and thought AF would be of greater benefit, especially with the latter. . .
