A bit of help please.I purchased a Canon 400d with kit lens,i have a 75-300mmf4-5.6II which i used on my eos500,.Can i use this on my 400d ?.A bit long winded but got there. My 1st thread be gentle

If it's an EF lens, then it should work no problem.

If its FD mount, you can still find 'converters'...

according to http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/eosfaq/eos500.htm the eos500 is an EF mount, so it'll go straight on.

It should work, however if it's anything like the one my dad used to have then autofocus might be very picky at times!!

Yes it will work, I had one from my EOS500 days too. Was the first lens I had on my 350D.

I will say though that you might want to get something else because its nasty... CA's all over the place!
