Just wondering if anyone's visited this place. http://www.wildwoodtrust.org/ The same organisation has recently absorbed our local Red Squirrel place (other critters here as well - Asian Shortclaw Otter, Wild Boar to name but 2) and are apparently sending down some of their cats and dogs, namely Wildcats, Lynxes and (eventually) Wolves.

I'm not far from there, not been myself but have heard decent things about it from various people

Last visited Wildwood in September 2012 and from a photographers point of view it was in my opinion well below par when compared to the British Wildlife Centre.

Hi Paul, Not knowing either site and never having tried captive animal photography, could you explain the pros and cons of the sites. What is the disadvantage of wildwood and the advantage of BWC? Thanks

To me many of the Wildwood enclosures were dark and cluttered making it difficult to photograph the animals.

The British Wildlife Centre (BWC) by comparison is much more open, light and nearly wire free.

Perhaps we were unlucky the day we visited Wildwood, so my advise is try for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

From a photography pov I would agree the BWC is better - but I do really enjoy wildwood and imo it is worth a visit. They have a number of species that BWC do not have and it is a good visitor attraction.

Have to agree with Fi.
