Wii game purchased in USA - will this work in UK...?

Hi All

My wife is currently in the USA with family and wants to get a Wii game for our daughter. Will Wii games purchased in the USA work on UK machines re PAL/NTSC or are Wii games fully TV compliant?

I believe that Wii games are region coded in some way meaning that games bought in the US won't work on UK consoles. It may be as simple as the PAL/NTSC config mine you. I do know that DS games will work from anywhere.

what game is it, surely there must be a uk source for not much more, i.e. what's a max price of a game £40/50?

As has been said, Wii games are region coded, so US games will not work here in the UK.

There are ways around it though, not financially viable just for one game either and probably not suitable for discussion on here.

if its anything like the PS3 the jap versions will play all games, like the jap PS3 is meant to do, both ps2 and 3 games and region free, or so i heard dunno if its true thoough
