Hi
My camera cannot be tethered to a laptop, and I thought i will use the wifi sd card to transfer each photo to a laptop/tables, so that I can review the photo after each shot. However, no using such cards before, I am not sure if I can set it up so that it will send the photo to laptop automatically straight after I take the photo. What I need is pretty instant reaction. I take a photo and second later it shows up on the laptop/tablet screen. Can these wifi cards do this for me?

Thanks
Pawel

Some won't send RAW files either.
As above - longer than a second

Edit - mines the Transcend wifi card

I've got an Eye-Fi I bought intending to use for work to have it transfer shots from camera to tablet/laptop doing site inspections, etc. They're too slow for immediate review (the Pro will send raw files, but even slower) and tbh the novelty wore off, it didn't turn out to be that useful.

Sloooooooooooow.....

What camera have you got?

I use an eyefi card in my D800 , which I have set to , save the raw files to the C/F card & jpegs to the S/D eyefi card . once set up,
the jpegs load up to my Tablet within a couple of seconds for review. All works fine for me. The D800 has 2 card slots 1 C/f & 1 S/d
regards Colin . Hope this Helps you

Thats great thank you. Up to 5sec is still fine for me. I have sony nex6 and it simply cannot be tethered. The camera has wifi capability but to send images i need to leave the shooting mode and it interrupts the whole process. I will the toshiba flashair i think. Thank you again.

Ooh - never even crossed my mind to stick it in my nex5 and see what happens;)

I have the Toshiba flashair one which works withy D90 and my XF1 but does not show raw files using their Android app on the phone or tablet. JPEG transfer is not bad.
