wide gamut and mac

I'm running OSX 10.6 and dell u2711. Everything inside web browsers and LR is nice, but anything else like desktop, finder, wallpaper, screensaver look way oversaturated. Is there any way to force them all to use appropriate profile (sRGB)? Thanks.

Only with apple profiler for now, as I am still looking for HW one. LR colours are fairly close to iPad3 which is regarded as pretty accurate out of the box, but non-managed apps and desktop look like disaster.

with Windows, you can set colour profile for monitor and then a different colour profile for non-managed programs (eg, desktop, Chrome and games) under Advanced tab. i'm not sure how to do it on a Mac.
