Hey Folks,

I had posted up a while ago about getting a wide angle lens for my 500D,

I had originally been looking at the 10-20mm Sigma HSM F3.5 lens (link) however I've noticed Sigma have another 8-16mm lens (link (apologies the links are to a sellers website!)

I predominantly shoot landscape photos mostly when I'm out hillwalking...

any comments / suggestions on which one to go for would be great! i'm at a loss!:thinking:

+1 for the 10-22. It's a great lens for crop and will hold its value, should you ever go FF.

Or Tokina 11-16 or 12-24. Also excellent.

Out of the 2 Sigmas 8-16 looks interesting, and is probably better. I would really give 10-20 a miss. There are far better ones out there. The obvious problem with 8-16mm is no filter thread if that is an issue - i suspect it is.
