Wi-Fi SD cards

I have the Olympus OM-D E-M5 which does not have a WiFi facility, A friend has the Mk II version which is WiFi and he can control his camera remotely from his mobile phone which is handy when taking a series of photographs over a period of time ( i.e. birds at the bird feeder), and he does not have to be constantly watching the birds just monitoring them on his phone.
Will any of the Eye-Fi, Transcend and Toshiba WiFi cards be able to do this with my camera, I gather Eye Fi has now bitten the dust

No, you cannot control the camera. All the WiFi cards do is show/copy the pictures on the sd card to a smart phone or tablet.
