A couple of hours ago my partner & I heard big bangs coming from outside, so I went into the bedroom to look out the window to see what all the fuss was about, and two stupid chavs were coming up the road kicking the **** out of all the parked cars. I was so angry I opened the window and screamed at them, then called the police, but seriously.. WHY?! what is the point?

They got all the cars parked on the road apart from mine as I screamed before they made it there, so I count myself lucky.. ARGHHH

There's no point at all other than you have something they don't and don't see why you should - no doubt aggravated by lager, drugs or solvent abuse.

You forgot severe lack of any parental control.

Start handing out 2 year prison sentences when they're caught and and it'll stop, a weeks weeding someone's garden and it won't.

I would pay a 1% increase in income tax if they said it was to build 20 new prisons and staff them.

Bring back the stocks. 12 hours a day for a month of public humiliation and all the rotten food they can eat. Much cheaper.

They wouldn't even get community service without CCTV evidence :(

I much prefere it if they just changed the legal system to GUILTY till PROVEN innocent.

I am sure as hell they would find it alot harder to prove they did not kick them cars than it would to prove they did. cctv or not,

There is just no RESPECT anymore for anyone or anything, makes my blood boil it does.

I must be behind the times....I thought we were still supposed to be hugging them

Have you seen the latest? They are giving prisoners rebates beacause they charged them too much for watching tv!!
Crimewatch wasn't on the 'must watch' list!!

funny you should say that.2 local chavs got a kicking lately.no one see a thing officially.unofficially 2 blokes who had their stereos nicked got hold of them.and was watch by at least 8 locals who have had put up with these 2 chavs living close by.

The little **** down the road from me got caught stealing bike so the police bought him a new one of his own to teach him a lesson, he has moved on to burning down someones garage now. If you speack to the Mother all you get is "so, speack to his social worker" He is expelled from every school in the area and spend his days wondering around causing trouble.

I blame the Parents and the touchy feely system.

Some things that get said on here have me in a state of despair!

quite ironic considering your username  , having had a brand new mondeo keyed from one end to the other then i have no sympathy at all for any summary punishment that is dealt out to the scum that wanders the night

Had 7 cars broken into one night on the forecourt. Then I caught them trying to break into the premises.
They haven't been back. ;)

I do have sympathy for the OP, but can I point out to the rest of the Daily Mail readers, that we have something in the UK callled the law. Thank you.

back in the late 80's some hand-wringing leftwing do-gooders decided that smacking children was bad so the cane was removed from schools. Then they said that you shouldnt punish children other than put them on the naughty step as violence begets violence. The 'results' of not using appropriate discipline are now clear and obvious to everyone except the same handwringing liberals. Solution is simple, discipline. It saddens me when i see the lack of respect that young people have, and the way they roam the streets in packs. Thank you to all handwringers everywhere for producing this pitiful generation.

its the daily mails fault. 'SMACKING YOUR KIDS WILL TURN THEM INTO EVIL RAPISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

I wish I could remember what radio station I was listening to the other day but the they had this bloke on from some governing body saying that chastising children physically is not barred from the teaching curriculum, it is that NO head teacher is prepared to implent the 'old rules'.

I feel sorry for head teachers but sometimes they are p i ss in the same pot and that helps fuel the fire.

Rant over.

When you have 2 police officers standing in front of you after having 3 break ins in 5 days, saying "to be honest Mr Shore its just a paperwork exercise".
It doesn't exactly give you much faith in our legal system.
When you work 80hrs a week for those very items that they steal, it changes your attitude.

Very, very well put mate and I couldn't agree more :thumbs:

The other week I was cycling along, about 10 inches from the kerb when 4 kids (about 14 to 16 years old) walked out from the pavement into the road without so much as a look, causing me to slam on my brakes and skid on an icy surface.

I pointed out that this is a road and that they should look, and all I got was "well you have brakes, don't you?"

this is only going to go one way IMO and that is when communities get together and sort out the scum by themselves. i've never really been much of an advocate of vigilante gangs... but i'm warming to the idea. People who are affected by these morons need to see some sort of justice being done when they're caught.. and it just doesn't happen, so in the end they'll dish out their own form of justice.... and quite right too.

We have been talking about this recently. My wifes car was keyed last weekend and the quote for a repair was £660. It is an '08 Yaris not a Porsche or BMW.

Thinking that this damage took no time whatsoever we are trying to discuss the motivation. She says they get pleasure from it - I think it is just mindless vandalism. I cannot see where the pleasure comes from.

Causes so much upset and inward pain - I guess I'd rather they had smashed a window and nicked the stereo - at least there would have been a point to it.

They do it because then can and they know that they will get away with it. Simple as that I'm afraid.

Really? If I didn't go in tomorrow, I'd easily get away with it. If I nicked next doors milk tomorrow morning off the step, I very much doubt that I get caught. I could walk down the street and key cars - it's not difficult and very few people would notice. Some provide motivation and a result, others do not.

I find it difficult to believe that they even think, perhaps that most are barely able to think.

Its back to basics. Respect. Some parents just don't teach it or lead by example. Something needs to change.

i dont read the daily fail , and as much as i respect the law i am afraid it has become an ass to coin a phrase , bring back the birch and the stocks , lets shame the scum good and proper , i seem to recall that a campaign of putting their photo's on the back of buses was cancelled a while ago because it infringed their civil liberties :bang: :bang: :bang:

wouldnt it be brilliant if the law could actualy DO ANYTHING when they caught em.
if they do get caught red handed by the few copsleft , that drive round in their cars, the courts either fail to prosecute, or give em 20 mins mowing lawns.

Totally agree

Parents need to teach respect and the law needs to demand respect. The law as it is, is a joke.

Chav begats Chav. The parents show no respect and have no respect either.
