Yes
Hi guys

Just burned some files to cd and taken them to my printers only they couldn't open them as the files have a locked sign on them and won't open.

I haven't clicked on anything in bridge to lock them I wouldn't know how to do it anyway.

Any suggestions why it does it. I wouldn't want customers not being able to open images if I gave them a cd.

Files on DVD/CD normally are locked as you cannot write back to the CD/CD . Even when you transfer the to a hard drive this attribute stays with them. However they should still be able to read them. However you may not be able to resize and save them because of the "Lock". However it's a simple matter to change the attribute on the file, once it's on the hard drive to read/write. On a Mac it's easy just click on the file. then cmd+i give you the properties. At the bottom is a padlock symbol. click on it to change lock to unlock.

Windows is similar, but as it's 5 years since I used windows I'm a bit rusty on that. It's done under properties. I think it's a right click on the file but I may be wrong. I'm sure a windows user will know

Alternatively it may be that their drive is having problems reading your disk. I've had this few times. A disk can be read on the host computer but on another it can't see the files. I've had this where I have had two DVD drives connected to the same computer. One drive will read a disk the other wont Try burning another disk at a slower rate.

no burning files to a CD wont "lock" them persay (they will be read only unless copied to a writable disk though). if you've got any restricted permissions on the files when on the mac the attributes will copy to the CD, this is probably what is causing the issue.

check the access permissions on the mac and set them to something less restricted (i.e. all users can view) before burning the disk.
