I'm converting with Canon DPP software, i seem to get it looking pretty good but when i click to convert and save the resulting Jpeg looks a bit drab in comparison. It loses sharpness, contrast, colours and just doesn't have that "zing!"

How can i get around it?

a jpg is a compressed raw... so you will lose somehting but not usualy that much... check what compresion setting you are using.. I use none.... but it still gets compressed.

What colour space are you using? a drab jpeg might be adobe RGB and the converted raw in SRGB.

I'm sorry wayne can you rephrase that? not quite sure what you mean.

Kipax as far as i'm aware im not using any compression
