why cant i just leave things alone

hi all i have a canon ip4700 printer which upto 1 hr ago i was happy with.i thought i may be able to improve it even more by downloading a profile from ilford as i always use their smooth pearl paper.so to cut along story short,i tried to follow their instructions and changed things in cs3 and in the printer driver but ive got it wrong as when i printed off a test print the colours are WAY off.is their anyway of easily setting cs3 and my drivers back to default.
or if not default can anyone recommend what setting to put it to.
prewarning!!! if anyone will kindly help me please treat me as a 4 year old as im clueless.

you probably got in wrong in the canon GUI since its a pile of ***** lol

what were you printing like before you tried the profile?

the printing before was to my liking but thought a new profile may improve it even further.i think im back to the origional setting now but my prints are now very over saturated compaired to what im seeing on screen
