Who's work inspires you?

Ansel Adams... What can you say really, was the master of landscapes
Tim Parkin
Gene Nocon (photographic printer rather than a photographer)
James Nachteway for his war photography, definitely a reality check
HCB - I'm yet to be inspired by a modern street photographer as much as HCB inspired me, 99% of modern street stuff is utter **** but his stuff is excellent
Alex Burke - Fantastic large format landscapes

A few TP'ers namely
Gandhi - Epic landscapes
Woodsy for his landscapes and helpfulness
PMN because he's taught me a lot

Many more i can't name, noticing a trend towards landscape photographers though

Sally Mann, Diane Arbus, Robert Doisneau and definetely James Nachtwey.

For me I really like Ian Berry, his photobook "The English" is a classic. I also hold in high esteem Nigel Millard, his RNLI portrait photos are incredible.

My favourites here are "people" photographers, I wish I had the confidence to photograph people.

Magazine [war] photographer - James Nachtwey [dvd 'War Photographer']
Magazine [war] photographer - Louie Palu [currently in Afghanistan]
Magazine [war] photographer - the late Tim Hetherington [dvd 'Restrepo']
Nature - Joel Sartore [National Geographic - dvd 'At Close Range']

And if you are into 'magazine' photography you must must must see...

'Shooting Robert King' [dvd]
