Hi, just after a bit of help. Ive used a few cheep printers in the past online and in town and they generally dont give a good result.
Could someone sugest a good quality online company who i can use to print my photos?

Thanks, Matt.

I would second that 100%

Please do a search, it is covered often. The same names come up each time... DSCL and Loxley ;)

Edit:
Or just scroll down a bit

Welcome to the forum Matt, there are a number of labs recommended by members on here, I've used DSCL and found them to be excellent - hope you enjoy TP and look forward to seeing some of your work

I've been using DSCL for a while. And was pleased.

I've just tried Loxley for the first time though and, whilst more expensive, the prints are lots, lots better. Colour rendition is spot on and the quality of the paper is great.

I'll be sticking with them from now on.

Thanks for the help, ill have a look at the ones mentioned, i know a lot of people always say do a search before posting questions (which i do a lot) but if i do that all the time ill never gain full access to the site as i wont have enough posts as most subjects will have been covered somewhere.
Also has anybody had experiance using Blurb for photo books, i see there on Lightroom 4 so i guess the quality must be very good.

Ill do a search! ;)

Thanks, Matt.

I've used DSCL a lot and tbh I'm thinking of switching to Loxley. Loxley's prints are better and DSCL prints above 18x12 are crap IMO.

I've had a few issues lately with delivery too not sure if its DSCL or Royal Mail although my last order I choose RMSD and got the email saying it was despatched on Thursday, no show on Friday so I called. They told me that it was actually going out that day (friday) and I should have it Saturday. Well its Sunday today and I still have no prints!!

I will also say that standard sizes DSCL are great quality but the larger stuff doesn't seem as good.

Had an album done from Loxley which was very good too.

I use Simlabs due to the fact that I prefer the courier service option which provides a 1 hour time slot. Prints are also packaged better than DSCL imo that was the reason for me switching over a year ago and have not regretted it since, even when there has been issues customer service is also spot on.

Seriously considering switching to Loxley next year though as many rave about them & the portfolio box is a rather nice product too.

I wonder why there's such a price jump between their 'Standard' and 'Larger' prints, e.g. 16x12 'Standard' = £1.05 and 16x16 'Larger' = £8.

The papers are the same (Fuji Crystal Archive) so perhaps it's a difference in the printers used (Noritsu QSS-37HD vs. Durst Theta).

Yes I know, I have had lots of 20x16 prints to order for my festive run. Loxely prices are on a par the larger you go. I must do a trial order and compare like for like. Has anyone else done that?

Thanks . Quite a jump from DSCL. Worth checking out though

I used both my issue with DS color labs is that they have ds color labs written all over the back therefore my customers can see where prints are from and I personally don't like that.

Loxely allows me to put my own brand on the prints etc plus side by side loxely are better quality imo
