Just got a quote of £67 (for a 10"x15" print i already have) from a local shop for mounting and framing albeit they didn't really have the frame I was after

Anyone got any recommendations for places in North Yorkshire/Teesside area or alternatively any online companies?

Ezeframe One 20" x 16" White Core Mount delivered to the door £12.73, not bad!

Our identical size White Core mount is £8.70 delivered to the door, not bad either.

I use Frame Craft which is inside Morton Park in Darlington next to Morrisons, always been really pleased with the service - had this done last year and paid £45, it's around 30" on the longest edge (excuse the dodgy phone pic).

I've decided to employ the missus who's good at all the arty stuff and have bought all the bits and a specialist cutting tool for the mount board

I'll post up the results when we've done it, might be the start of a new business venture!

Good luck! I would be interested in seeing the results and hearing about how much it costs and where you got materials from etc.

When you need someone local I recently had some large framed prints made, I needed them in a hurry for an exhibition and found that I was lucky enough to work about 3 miles from these people, http://www.fruitphotoart.co.uk/

They knocked up 6 large (24x16") prints, mounted them and framed them, in a hurry, the quality was superb and they were nice people to deal with.

Who do you normally use Mark?

Your ones in the JCG all seemed nicely mounted and presented

I hate doing it, haven't the patience for it.

Doing it by hand is a PIA and needs a lot of concentration.

I've seen me in the past cut a mount 48" x 36" with multi-apertures only to cock the last cut up making the whole job of layout and cutting a waste of time.

We now have a computerised mount cutter and can do the layout and cutting of most multi aperture mounts in less than five minutes.
