Can any one suggest a light source, I want to take product shots of clothing which is laid out on a large light reflector 5 in 1 things. on of the 5 in 1 options is a semi see through white material.

whats the best way to light this up from behind without getting bright spots?

any help will be great

Try using a shoot-thru in front of the strobe and before the translucent 5-in-1 scrim.
Will take the edge off hotspots

If you have monoblocks with reflectors and grids and the space then keep pulling the strobe back until the modelling light feathers the edge of the 5-in-1.
Tesst shot to make sure it's whiting out.

The key light for the clothing will be around 2 stops under than the background light and fill about another 1-1.5 stops under that

... at a guess :)
