Which One is Faulty?

The bold blue words in the post are links ("Cheap/Better quality")... but you've already ordered.

I missed that they were links but saved even more :) Thanks

I have searched many times and not found any reasonably priced ones. I think I now have all the arca swiss stuff I need.

What I can't understand about the arca swiss system is why most (if not all) of the arca swiss tripod heads, gimbals etc. are designed with the clamp front to back which is ideal for a LONG lens where the foot is front to back yet the camera plate, right angle plate etc. are side to side. Works if you also use a nodal plate but not everyone needs one as not everyone shoots panoramas (stitching images) and many that do rely on software to cope with any errors introduced by not using a nodal plate. I have searched for a neat plate to clamp turned 90 degrees or a square plate with slide groves on all four sides for a reasonable price

This one costs £70.

Rather than a square plate, I use a right-angle converter like this for £13. It's actually a nice quality Arca-Swiss clamp, but if you look at the base it also has Arca-Swiss grooves making it dual-purpose - just drop it into your existing AS clamp and it converts from left-right to front-back and vice versa.

It's available with either 1/4in or 3/8in centre thread from different sellers under various names. Check that the locking knob will not foul anything on your existing clamp - it can happen.

Would have been good a couple of years ago but I now need one that can be used in both orientations which the the square bi-directional one does but thanks anyway.
