Which noise reduction software do you use?

Hi Guys. I've recently upgraded to Photoshop CC and wondered what noise software you all use?

Previously when using my stand alone Photoshop CS5, I used a Noiseware Professional plugin which was pretty good but I don't seem to be able to use it with the CC?

I've also seen that the Topaz DeNoise looks pretty good, but at $79.99, it's not cheap.

Any suggestions on either how I can get my purchased Noiseware Profession to work in Photoshop CC or what alternative are there? I've done a forum search but most posts are quite old.

I'm lead to believe LR noise reduction is very good and it's what I tend to use.

Cheers Andy. Although I have LR, I hardly ever use it as more used to Photoshop. I'm looking more for a PS plugin, but I'll certainly have a look at the LR option.

I use DXO prime which I think is amazing auto fix. I've also just started to play with Nik but no coment on this yet.
I've tried ninja but that was quite poor.

I like noiseware, but that said I hardly every use it now with Photoshops improved noise reduction, and better low light cameras.

I use Neat Image standalone and create my own profiles from my TV screen - and they are all rated at 100% quality so can give very good NR.

I must admit I had a look at the noise reduction in LR last night and have to say I was quite impressed. Maybe that's the the way to go perhaps.....

I've never used anything other than the noise reduction in ACR and LR but find it very good. I think prior to the ACR in CS4 the NR was very poor, but they made a huge improvement. Obviously I have no idea how it compares to any paid for NR programs/plug ins. I'm not sure whether other NR programs/plug ins work on the RAW file, which the Adobe NR does. Is that a benefit or not? :-/

As an aside, something that I have started using recently in ACR and LR is the Mask slider in the sharpening section, which helps reduce noise generated by sharpening areas with no detail. For those that don't know, holding down the Alt key whilst moving the Mask slider highlights which areas will be affected by any sharpening you apply. The aim is only to sharpen areas with any detail. It is amazing how much sharpening a blue sky introduces noise.

I've always done noise reduction on separate layers with masks, much more control and inverting the mask and copying to another layer for sharpening is easy.
