Im going to a wedding on saturday as a guest, and have been asked to bring my camera along and take some nice photos, there will be a pro tog there as well so it just means they will have some 'natural' shots and pics of the night do as well. I am taking my canon 40d, and have borrowed the canon 24-70 off the photographer I work for, but Im worrying it will be far too bulky and heavy? I will be walking around all day and in six inch heels! I have a canon 50mm which I would happily use but am worried the focal length will be too long. Has anyone photographed weddings and can give any insight?
Thanks for any replies!

24-70 is certainly big.. not knowing if your a frail little girl or a rugby player type its hard to know what to advise... the 24-70 perfect for mingle wiht guests and take pics.. the 50mm you will need a not so crowded area so you can step back now and then..

all things considered i would go for the 50.. take what you can and enjoy the day.. the 24-70 will gte on your nerves if enjoying the day is the whole point..
