Which Gun

Looking to buy my first flash gun for general use with my 40D, so any advice will be very much appreciated.

I have a choice of two, both used but in excellent condition.

1. Canon 580 EX first generation ........... £150

2. Canon 430 EX ll boxed ........... £120


Both come with 3 months warranty.

Iv just bought the 430 but they still have the 580 in stock, £150 mint and boxed. lovely bit of kit.

580EX is an absolute bargain at that price. Much better gun than the 430, Mk2 or not.

Swap it quick!

Edit: 580 has double the power, it's a master controller, head rotates 180 degs both ways, has a pull-out hi-lite panel... for an extra £20!!!
