Can anyone give me a little advice please. I have a nikon d70s camera and cant make up my mind if i should buy a sb600 or sb800flash or indeed anyother model. I am not certain if the extra £100 for the sb 800 is worth it or not does anyone have any idea :

Do you need the extra features that the SB-800 offers over the SB-600? If not then you have your answer :D

try clifton cameras they are good value at the moment

I had this same problem a few years ago when I switched from film to digital. I opted for the sb-600 and it has been everything I have wanted and needed until now. Now I am using the flashgun off camera, with softboxes and umbrellas which loose you valuable stops of light, and at times find myself wanting a little extra power which the sb-800 would give me.

To be honest both flash units are excellent and it's hard to beat the value of the sb-600 which can now be bought online for around £124.

thank you for your comments on which flash . As i wish to use it off camera in conjunction with soft box etc. i will be better off in long run with sb 800
I can get one on line for £200 .thanks again

The SB600 will fire off camera but only on cameras with commander fuction, not sure the d70s has it or not, or when using the SB800 on camera in commander mode.

i have 1 SB800 and going to buy another SB800 just because its a great flashgun
