Which filters advice please

Hi all

I am after getting a set of ND Grad filters not sure what type to get would you recommend hard or soft grad filters? and should i go for a complete set 2,4, 8 any advice would be much appreciated

Generally speaking, hard grads are better for level horizons such as seascapes, but soft are better for scenes with mountains, hills, trees etc.
 
Thanks have just brought a selection to try of both.

has anyone come across www.formatt.co.uk they have a 3.0 ND filter for about £25 which 3.0 is 10 stops is this worth getting to see what it is like?

I had one and sold it. Flare was a nightmare.
