Please advise what I should be getting to calibrate a dell u2711 as accurately as possible? It is for Mac, and presume 10.8 will be there soon
The main contenders are Colormunki display, smile, i1display pro and spyder 4 pro unless I missed anything. Price - I'd prefer to pay less if I don't need something - but this monitor has to be accurate (or I don't intend to waste even £1 on something that won't work properly). Any hints for the best deal would be great.
I hoped I could get away with something older, but it seems like they won't support wide gamut, and there are plenty of horror stories even with 2-3 year old devices (user error?)
What profile is the best to start with - standard, custom, etc? I'm even thinking of sRGB due to apple's total ignorance of modern displays, but is that bad for editing?
