Hey Guys :)

I am looking to buy an entry level computer and I have about £300 I want to spend on this.

It will be used mainly for a little light photo editing, some web browsing, watching a few videos on YouTube etc.

Which out of the following 3 is best and why?
I am a bit novice-y on computer hardware, is ram more important or the processor speed?

1) Asus Desktop - £299.99 at Argos

2) Asus Desktop - £299.00 at Currys

3) Acer Desktop - £219.59 at Amazon

With option 3 I would buy a monitor separately.

Thanks for your help :)

Cheers, Rob

Do you have a monitor already as number 3 doesn't come with one as part of the package.

They are all bottom end systems that will be fine for web browsing etc but even the most basic of photo editing will highlight key weaknesses where RAM and CPU's become important.

Search the threads on here re PC's and you will see a trend appear for quad core CPU's and a decent wedge of RAM.

It would be more ideal if you could up your budget I think rather than risk buying a machine that can't cope especially if your editing becomes intensive.

Agreed with Novatech - they seem to be really good and have used them before with no problems at all.
If I remember correctly as well, they don't install rubbish on the operating system like most manufacturers like free trials and stuff.
